Brother's teacher sent home a note with a quote from Brother on it yesterday.
"When I'm a teenager and a girl comes up to me and asks to be my girlfriend - I'm going to grab a club and bop her on the head. Two times."
I love that he realizes just one bop might not scare her off. Two should do the job. I'm going to save this and provide him with the club when those girls start pestering him to be his girlfriend.

Still here
Yep - we're still here. No, no one seems to notice when I don't post. Except my mother and sister in law. I was sick sick this past week - but have fully recovered. Amoxcicillin (sp?) - it's not just for kids. Who knew.
I have tons of pictures to load, some festivaling to do, a t-ball game to attend - and a very goopy daughter. I think the allergies got the best of her this week. But, even with gooey stuff in her eyes and nose she's precious. Except when she tells me "Mommy - you're not my friend." That's just a little hurtful. However, me not letting her eat jelly beans for breakfast is going to pale in comparison to all the other things I'm not going to let her do throughout her childhood - so - I suppose I better get some thicker skin.
All is still well with our Mighty Boy. We're trying to crate train based on the advise of our vet - I'm not sure how that's really going... but it's only been a couple days. It's in an effort to house train him - the bag of potty prizes I got at the Dollar Store weren't working. That's a joke that only people who know how I potty-trained my kids would get.
More soon when I'm motivated enough to plug in the camera and go through the painful process that is loading pictures to Blogger.

Go Red Sox
Brother is playing T-Ball this year and Daddy is coaching. Here is a picture of them on opening day. I am so proud of them both and I know they will have a great season... if it ever stops raining long enough for them to get in a routine.
It also seems that the parents of T-Ball players are a little bit higher maintenance than those of the soccer players that we hung with in the fall, but I'm actually not always right with first impressions and they are probably perfectly lovely people. And coming up with a snack schedule might actually be an extensive time consuming task that needs lots and lots of input from people.

In other news, we had a great Easter weekend with my side of the family and I should be able to post some pictures soon. I don't want to over-shadow the overdue T-Ball post with cuteness from this weekend.
Oh - and our puppy? Perfect. Sweet, playful, well-behaved and has a manly bark. Everything you could want in a dog. And has anyone else noticed that the presidential family's new puppy looks a lot like our Mighty Boy? Mighty boy is cuter and (I'm sure) better behaved. But - they've got a lot of other stuff going for them and I'm sure "Bo" will be fine.

Introducing Mighty Boy.
Have I mentioned lately that I have the most awesome husband in the world?! The following pictures are not of him. They are of our new puppy, Mighty Boy, who arrived home yesterday bringing more love and joy to Team T. He is a little bit dachshund, a little bit some kind of terrier, and mostly just fluffy goodness. And yes, his name is Mighty Boy. Don't ask.

Cosmo
There's also Cosmo - Brother just said that he thinks he is "the perfect dog for us". It's the blue eyes. He looks JUST like my husband's side of the family.

The kids' silent auction at their preschool is tonight. Last year we came home with Sea Monkeys. Did you all realize sea monkeys live quite. a. while? Which is fine. It just surprised me.
This year - I'm wanting a puppy! I know - I talk myself out of it every time I think about it. But - looook:

To be clear, they aren't going to be at the Silent Auction. They are both rescue dogs available for adoption. The first one is a spitz mix and is closer and cheaper. But - the second one is a poodle yorkie mix and doesn't shed and would fit in my purse - which is something I never knew I wanted until I saw her.
By psychoanalyzing myself I realize that my pet craving is really just probably because Little Bitty is now the age Brother was when she was born and it's probably that mommy instinct/biological clock thing kicking in. And I know that more kids aren't in our future - so one of these seems like a good alternative, right?! Right? Hello?
Or - some more sea monkeys.
